Bathroom Planning

No grout.

That’s all the input Rob has given into planning our bathrooms for the new house. Granted he is the one who cleans the bathrooms, so he can specify anything he wants!

I thought this would be hard to include given the amount of tiles (and therefore grout) in a bathroom, but it was surprisingly easy and beautiful.

Maximum have a gorgeous range of large format thin porcelain tiles which can be used across most of the house including external facades and built in furniture. These thin porcelain tiles come in sheets up to 1,500 x 3,000 so are perfectly suited to Rob’s brief.

Earp Bros also have a large format porcelain tile range, X-light. These come in a 1,000 x 3000, again minimizing grout (and therefore mould/cleaning!).

The other option is for rendered walls in the bathroom. We saw this done so beautifully by Kingi & Caro on The Block and there have been a few other gorgeous examples popping up on Pinterest lately.
